Elaine Francisco Larap’s ‘Binibining Mutya ng Parokya 2013’

ELEVEN year-old Elaine Hernandez-Francisco was proclaimed the “Binibining Mutya ng Parokya ng Larap 2013” after topping the canvassing on Saturday night at the Parish Church in Larap, Mambulao, CamNorte.

Elaine, of Parang-Larap and Pasig City, will be crowned on Thursday, August 15, the night of Larap’s baranggay fiesta.

The 5’2” elementary grader won over nine other aspirants fielded by the different puroks (units) in Larap.

Elaine represented the Larap parish community.

The fundraising for the upgrade of the Larap Parish Church netted about P60,000.

Elaine has raised about 50% of the amount.

As the winner of the pageant, Elaine is entitled to 50 per cent, or P28,000, of what she had raised.

However, Marivic Francisco, Elaine’s aunt and one of the organizers of the fundraiser, said the 2013 Mutya will donate the money towards the improvement of the Parish church.

Elaine is the granddaughter of the Victor and Josefina Francisco of Larap and the daughter of Theuddy and Lourdes Hernandez-Francisco.

Also, she is the niece of Alfredo P Hernandez, editor-in-chief of the news tunnel MWBuzz.

A very proud Mr Victor Franciso, who missed the proclamation by a few minutes, said: “Tapos na? May ihuhulog pa ako…”

Elaine had graced the recent “Santakrusan” night in the baranggay as “Queen Elena”.

The new ‘Mutya’ is honing her modeling potential with an agency based in Sta Lucia, Pasig City,

The “Mutya” pageant is being spearheaded by the Larap parish community.
