DAET, Camarines Sur: A P90 million highway widening project, stretching 6.8 kilometers from downlown Daet to Barangay Bagasbas, is being carried out by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) district office of Camarines Norte.
Bagasbas is a popular beach haven for tourists.
Assistant DPWH district engineer Ricardo L Pacardo said that the highway widening that adds two-meter breadth on both sides of the national road is now 60 per cent complete.
Pacardo said four contractors won the bid to implement the project that covers at least six sections and is scheduled for completion at the end of September this year.
