DAET, Camarines Norte:Bad weather did not stop the traditional 3 Kings
parade in this capital town.
The parade started at the provincial park in downtown Daet with
government officials as “Three Kings” who rode the bulls around town.
Mayor Tito Sarte Sarion of Daet led the pack as Melchor; Bong Zepagan,
Regional Director of the Philippine Coconut Authority as Gaspar, and;
Provincial Board Member Romeo Marmol representing Camarines Norte Gov Egay
Tallado as Baltasar.
The “Three Kings” went around Daet giving away candies to their
kababayans who watched the parade.
According to Mayor Sarion, this has become a tradition in their town as
they now hold the parade every year.
He deemed it an honor to invite the PCA
regional director and the governor in the event.
They also handed out gifts to the less privileged in the province.
The parade ended at the Daet municipal hall in time for the first flag
ceremony of the year and the launch of Metro Daet’s aspiration to become a city
under the theme “Economy Moving Toward Opportunities.” – Bicol Mail
