School receives banduria donation

Special gift … The Larap Elementary School (LES) in Larap, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Nore, is the proud recipient of a favorite musical instrument – the banduria – donated by an alumni of the school, Sally Yanesa. The banduria, which is the little cousin of the guitar, will be part of the many items housed at the school’s music unit headed by music teacher Lea Merilos Rieza. LES said the new instrument will boost the school’s effort to teach music to its children. Delivered on January 5, 2012, the item was happily received by the teaching staff headed by school principal Rolly Torero and district supervisor Rosalino Avila. The school hopes to receive more musical instruments for its music class.
