Pictures from the 1st Inter-School Chess Championship (Superintendent’s)
held in Daet on Friday and Saturday (April 25-26), with eight-year
old Robert Abitan (above) showing off his certificate and medal declaring him the
first-ever champion. The chess wizard from Parang, Mambulao, CamNorte, bested
players from Daet, Labo, Capalonga and Pandan (Daet) and received P1,000 as
