THE Mambulao
LGU has qualified for the 2014 Grassroots Participatory Budgeting (GPB), the
Department of Budget and Management (DBM) said.
The DBM said
the LGU has made substantial implementation of its Public Financial Management
(PFM) improvement plan.
The DBM
certification would give the LGU easy access to funds for its various
development projects.
Aside from the
GPB, the LGU could also access funds under PAMANA, Salintubig and special local
road funds under the policies of the Department of Interior and Local
Government (DILG).
In 2012, the
Mambulao LGU received the 2012 Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH).
Secretary Mar
Roxas, in a letter to Mayor Ricarte Padilla, said seal was awarded to LGUs that
successfully met the requirement of the full disclosure policy, have exemplary
standard of frontline services and procurement and proven to have no adverse or
disclaimer audit findings by the Commission of Audit (COA).
Under the GPB
scheme, the LGU has accessed funding for its tilapiyahan project this year
(P104,000) and for the pushcart
livelihood project initiative (P200,000).
