THE Larap PIM Association (LaPIMa) will hold a fundraising dinner on Saturday, December 3, to raise money for its scholarship program for deserving sons and daughters of the association's members.
Venue of the Christmas party fundraiser is Camelot Hotel on Mother Ignacia St, Quezon City. The party will begin at 7pm.
The gathering, which is also LaPIMa's get-together Christmas party, is open to members of the Taga Larap Ako Facebook group, members of the JPNHS Alumni association, MINA and Mambulaoans,
Samuel Tatom, LaPIMa secretary, said the Christmas party is actually a prelude to a bigger gathering, which is the LaPIMa reunion scheduled on April 21, 2012, at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
Tatom said that while the event is a "camaraderie get-together-Christmas party, it is also a fundraiser for a good cause that would benefit our Kababayans back home".
Proceeds of the fundraiser will finance LaPIMa's TESDA scholarship program for deserving sons and daughters of members.
TESDA refers to Technical Education And Skills Development Authority, a government-funded agency providing short-term technical and vocational courses in graphic design, electrical installation technology, refrigeration, industrial electronics, fashion technology, welding, bricklaying among many others.
Scholarship beneficiaries could also enroll in livelihood skill training courses in flower arrangement, cake decoration, throw pillow-making, flairtending and many more.
Dinner tickets will cost Php500 while raffle tickets will be available for Php10.
