Late-breaker: Fiesta fever is on

By PERCY A OSTONAL

A FEW hours ago, MWBuzz received from our local correspondent the official program of activities for this year's Jose Panganiban town fiesta celebration.

Unlike past festivities, schedules such as fun-run, which was later combined with coastal clean-up, amateur boxing tournament, cockfighting derby, military brass bands (around the town proper) parade and talents search and pabirik (gold panning) contest are exceedingly and relatively unknown to lots of Mambulaoans now living across the globe.

Though it takes awhile comparing the "kind of fiesta celebration" we had then in the 50s, 60s and 70s, memory lingers with so much to think about the town and people we left behind many, many years ago.
