WHEN IT COMES to caring for our furry better
halves. The English, however, know how to do so in style. Instead of plain old
kennels, they go all out, like they usually do.
Enter The House of Mutt, a place that takes the concept of a
pampered pup up a notch!
This five-star luxury hotel "for dogs of
distinction" in Suffolk, England promises its patrons "no kennels, no
cages, no stress; just holiday".
Described as a "doggy paradise", the former
rectory sits in 10 acres of meadowland - complete with paddocks, a river and
squashy beds for the pooches to splash about in.
They say that dogs are a reflection of their owners and
these puppy parents expect nothing but the best.
Amenities at this upmarket hotel include an in-house vet,
room service, individual training sessions, bespoke party bags with
personalised handmade collars, doggy portraits, a taxi service to and from
London, and much more.
If that's not high maintenance enough, House of Mutt
recognises that a pampered palate needs looking after so it's not just jellymeat
on a plate for these pooches.
An adequate supply of each pet's food is requested for the
duration of its stay. For those owners who settle for only the finest, food can
be bought on the dog's behalf if arranged prior to check in.
The standard daily rate is £39.50 (US$73.3), with a
refundable deposit of £100 (US$188.4). - Fairfax NZ News
